This year, 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders are using Typing Club to learn and practice keyboarding and we’re off to a great start!

If you’re using Typing Club at home, make sure to go to the Crocker Typing Club portal:

Everyone has signed on to Typing Club at school and should know their user name and password. Ideally, kids will practice for an hour per week at home for 10 to 20 minutes per session. Eyes on the screen, not the keyboard and fingers on the home row! If eyes or fingers are tired, it’s a good time to take a break.

If there are opportunities to type at home — type a letter or email to a friend or family member, write a story, type a shopping list, do homework — this is also great keyboarding practice and it’s fun to use our new skill in everyday activities. Keep typing!
